Recently we have had the pleasure of shooting some portraits and headshots outside around New York CIty at various locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Although we mostly shoot at our own Brooklyn photo studio, it’s always nice and a fun challenge to set up elsewhere in a new environment and yet still be able to capture the type of classic yet modern and fresh imagery that we love. Plus it’s always great to just be outside and get some fresh air!

Below are some samples of outdoor portraits and headshots that we have shot here in New York at different times of the year. To us, they align well with our mission of creating authentic natural style photographs. And we love shooting outside just as much as in the studio. We work with our subjects and clients to determine whether it will be best to shoot in studio, on location, or a mix of both.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Studio PPARK, a full service design practice focused primarily on residential construction and renovation. We shot on location at their design studio in Irvington, New York (Westchester County). We complemented the nice natural window light there on the waterfront with some of our own soft portable strobes, to create a variety of headshots and environmental portraits.

Although we mostly shoot at our own Brooklyn photo studio, it’s always nice and a fun challenge to set up elsewhere in a new environment and yet still be able to capture the type of classic yet modern and fresh imagery that we love. Plus it’s always interesting to see other people’s workspaces!

We are thrilled here at Natural Studio to announce that we have expanded our portrait and headshot photography business into Westchester County, New York. While we continue to serve our clients at our NYC/Brooklyn studio location, it is exciting to be able to grow our business by beginning to shoot for many clients just a little north of the 5 boroughs. This enables us to further our mission of creating beautiful images for people in a way that actually meets their needs, and even exceeds them.

While photo shoots in Westchester are now available by appointment (in studio or on location), our Brooklyn photo studio also remains as warm and comfy as ever this winter, and we are enjoying shooting lots of portraits and headshots with our diverse clientele of actors, designers, artists, executives, real estate professionals, entrepreneurs, musicians, architects, and more. We are always grateful to have the opportunity to work with such an interesting and talented mix of people. That is one of the best things about working in the New York City metropolitan area.
