Actor Headshots NYC
At Natural Studio, we photograph actor headshots with a relaxed, natural approach at our private Brooklyn studio and on location throughout New York City.
A strong acting headshot needs to do something relatively simple: show what you look like while giving a sense of who you are. We want the photographs to feel polished and professional without becoming overly posed, styled, or retouched.
Our approach is inspired by natural light and refined simplicity. We use beautiful, soft lighting, clean backgrounds, and natural direction to keep the attention on expression and personality.
During the session, we shoot a range of expressions and variations so you'll have different options to choose from. We also share images as we go, allowing us to work collaboratively and make adjustments throughout the shoot.
Wardrobe can be kept simple, and depending on the session, we can photograph multiple looks to create additional range. Our goal isn't to make each look dramatically different, but to create subtle variations that can be useful for different roles, casting situations, and professional needs.
After the shoot, you'll receive an online gallery to select your favorite images for final retouching. Retouching is kept natural so that the finished headshots still look like you.
Our Brooklyn studio provides a quiet, private setting for actor headshots and is conveniently located near Park Slope and Gowanus. We also photograph actors outdoors and on location throughout NYC when a different environment or feeling is desired.
