Portrait and headshot photography is our specialty at Natural Studio.
Our approach to photography is closely connected to what we love and what inspires us: nature, simplicity, a warm kind of modernism, and beautiful light.
Those influences find their way into the photographs in subtle ways. We're drawn to clean compositions, natural expressions, quiet details, and lighting that feels soft and dimensional. Even when we're working entirely in the studio, we often look to natural light as our reference.
We want the images to feel refined without feeling overly controlled. Contemporary without being trendy. Simple, but never generic.
Most importantly, we want the person to remain at the center of the photograph.
We work with actors, artists, designers, entrepreneurs, executives, architects, and people from a wide range of creative and professional fields. They come to us for actor headshots, corporate and executive portraits, personal branding, publicity, websites, LinkedIn, social media, model portfolios, and sometimes simply because they want a great portrait of themselves.
Whatever the reason for the shoot, we approach it as a collaboration. We create a relaxed environment, pay close attention to the light and details, and give each session enough room for something natural to happen.
Our private Brooklyn studio is located near Park Slope and Gowanus, and we also photograph people on location throughout New York City.
