Natural Studio is a photographer studio based in New York City shooting both in studio and on location throughout NYC. We specialize in portraits and headshots shot in an authentic natural style. With an evocative vision of refined simplicity, we shape beautiful light and compositions to create images that feel relaxed and capture the unique personality of an individual.

Featured above are some examples of our work. As you might notice, beautiful light is one of our main inspirations and we consider it a crucial component. The lights we use are daylight balanced strobes, with modifiers being used to shape and balance the light to achieve an effect that is flattering and comes across as soft natural looking light. This enables us to work in the studio or elsewhere and always have access to the same great light. In addition to putting extra care into how a subject is lit, we also seek to create an environment that puts people at ease so they can just enjoy the process—resulting in images that come off as fresh and relaxed. While focusing on light and a positive environment are key, we also always pay attention to all of the little details of everything that is in the camera view which makes all the difference when seeking to create great images.
